I do Star Wars posts on the internet because I still care about how it feels to hyperfixate like a child.
When I started this website I wanted to write my own stories set in the Star Wars universe and use photographs of Lego builds as the visuals. Have I done that? Here and there, sure, but not to the scale I’ve dreamed about. I want 2024 to be a step in the right direction toward that. I call it Worse, Bigger, and Weirder cause, well, I’m a self-deprecating person.
If you follow me on Instagram (which you should, @supreme_leader_d, I am very funny, not in the pocket of Disney ((yet)) and I actually like a lot of Star Wars content despite online opinions of all of it) you may have met the Blue Guys. They’re an abstract representation of inner creativity and hyperfixation, love for things, and they’re often pictured with a roaring dumpster fire. From the dumpster fire literally comes a sort of energy source for the Blue Guys, a drive away from what is awful (ie the actual world) into the comfort of the inner child, the creative, and the genuine fan of a massive universe of interesting things. They represent positive energy, something I always try to supply to the world at least a little, even when it’s difficult to find myself. I have a busy year ahead of me outside of planning hobby projects (I probably won’t go into that, or I might, what’s life without whimsy?) but I need to remember to post more, create more, and keep the personal dumpster fire of weird creative energy well-fed.
Thanks for reading this far and for stopping by, ✌️💛 SLD
