I don’t always build speeders, but when I do, it’s often for #speedersundays by rebelpunk on Instagram.
Follow Rebel Punk (@rebel.p.u.n.k) for interesting stuff, not even just speeders! They host a weekly build challenge called #speedersunday and I threw another build into the ring this week.

This mean green utilitarian machine is, once again, kind of a space pickup truck (you may remember a big chonky blue one I did a while back.) The original inspiration was a sort of civilian take on a podracer, lots of engine power for hauling stuff but slower and more stable speeds. In back there’s a tool rack, multiple storage chests/bins, and three beds for hauling junk, tools, or whatever that scrapper at the controls might be after.

The back end is somewhat inspired by a Naboo N-1 starfighter, just much shorter. You can see some of the storage and the tool rack behind the drivers seat.

The engine details are usually the first thing I do, then work backwards to find a weird shape or style to integrate them into. Sand green was the color I wanted going in, and it took some creativity since that’s one color I have the fewest pieces in. I especially liked the simple girdered look of the front, like a pair of podracer engines had been welded together with extra framing for stability. If you enjoyed, thanks for reading this far!
