Is it safe to come out now and try to have a conversation about The Last Jedi? Maybe? Okay, let’s talk about Force sensitivity in canon and legends, good and bad, and how it hasn’t really changed all that much. If The Last Jedi ruined your childhood, this may not be something you’re interested in reading. But the Definite Article stands to ready to dissect, dismantle, and hopefully understand.
The Empire grows stronger with the addition of a cold-climate range trooper, elite Death Star trooper, cunning Grand Moff Tarkin, and the ever-useful IT-O interrogator droid. I lucked out big at Target on two successive trips – and here I thought I’d have to hunt a while for Tarkin.
And thanks to a used book shop not far from home (Last Exit books in Kent, Ohio) I managed to pick up quite a few legends novels (as well as a new copy of Streets of Shadows from Barnes and Noble and Last Shot, which was on sale at Target) These will all make fine additions to my collection and backlog of Legends series I still need to read through, though Last Shot will probably come next seeing as Solo arrives next month.
Thanks for reading!

A galaxy far, far away hits home in plenty of ways. And now it’s making a welcome environment for the LGBT+ fans and community, giving them new characters to adore and identify with. Mostly canon, but definitely an article, keep reading for a look at great LGBT+ Star Wars characters across Legends and Canon!
She’s the most ruthless woman in the galaxy – Captain Phasma takes no prisoners. From her humble beginnings on a ruined planet, she rose to mythic status in the First Order. But how? With plenty of attitude and custom chromium armor, that’s how! Keep reading for my reviews on both her new novel and collected comic mini-series!
I haven’t been around as much as I’d like to be, but I plan to change that soon. My wife and I are moved in and the construction of my studio is underway! But that means a lot of clutter and boxes that still need to be shaped into my dream workspace and Star Wars haven. It’s getting there, slowly but surely, and I’m keeping a backlog of books and toys I want to talk about. Once I have a space to take pictures set up, the figure reviews will come along. Here’s just a few things I’ve picked up since the move that I plan to share some more thoughts on soon:
- Phasma – So different and strange, and who knows how much of this will be expanded on in future films and novels.
- Darth Vader (Volume One, Marvel Comics) – So much good to say about the Vader comics. Couldn’t get enough!
- Doctor Aphra (Marvel Comics) – Aphra is awesome. Great new character and fun books.
- Leia: Princess of Alderaan – Still reading this one. I like it but how does it stack up against Claudia Grey’s previous Star Wars novels?
- And of course, the Black Series! I’ve picked up Luke, Rey, and the Stormtrooper Executioner from The Last Jedi as well as Commander Gree , Grand Admiral Thrawn, and the Inferno Squad Agent.
So there’s much to do and I’ll get to it soon. Just have to finish building that throne room. Er I mean studio space. More to come soon! I thank all my readers for being patient while I get things in real life in order first.

For this review, “I rebel” and walk the path of someone who can’t find their way on either side of the Galactic Civil War. Abandoned by a rebel friend and hunted by the Imperial war machine, Jyn Erso lives life in a grey area of the galaxy. What is she to do when the rebellion brings her nothing but pain, but the Empire does nothing but cause pain for others? Continue reading “Definite Article: Rebel Rising Review”
