Han and Chewie get into a snowball fight on Vandor in the teaser for the home release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. If that doesn’t fill an empty space in your heart you didn’t even know you had, I don’t know what to tell you. Don’t go solo – watch it with a friend this September! And if your friend was one of those annoying boycotters, don’t lend it to them and explain (perhaps re-explain) how a boycott works!

I’ll admit it, in the past I’ve been guilty of being a toxic person not unlike the many toxic fans polluting comment sections across the internet. I used to hate the Star Wars prequels because my friends didn’t like them. I used to treat any kind of music I didn’t identify with as worthless trash. And sure it made my friends laugh, but after a while you realize you don’t have as much in common as you first though, aside from a sour taste in your mouth.
Solo: A Star Wars Story Review/Recap
How does something mired in so much behind-the-scenes drama turn out to be such a good movie? This is how to do an anthology film – plenty of lore connections, new characters, and a heist that twists and turns throughout. Forget what you’ve heard about director changes and reshoots, this movie is easy to love.

It’s been a great week for books and figures. . .
The Empire grows stronger with the addition of a cold-climate range trooper, elite Death Star trooper, cunning Grand Moff Tarkin, and the ever-useful IT-O interrogator droid. I lucked out big at Target on two successive trips – and here I thought I’d have to hunt a while for Tarkin.
And thanks to a used book shop not far from home (Last Exit books in Kent, Ohio) I managed to pick up quite a few legends novels (as well as a new copy of Streets of Shadows from Barnes and Noble and Last Shot, which was on sale at Target) These will all make fine additions to my collection and backlog of Legends series I still need to read through, though Last Shot will probably come next seeing as Solo arrives next month.
