I didn’t fall into the Unknown Regions, I’ve just been super-busy with work and unable to post and write as much as I’d like to. But I wanted to give a heads up to what projects I have in the…oh I do hate the phrase “in the pipeline.” Iminent? Forthcoming? Sure, one of those.

What I Did with Lego (10/22/18)
I haven’t actually sat and built a thing with Lego in quite a while. Usually I’m stockpiling the stuff like it’ll be currency after the collapse…

Castle Vader Comes to Lego
There was a short rumor period surrounding this set before it was officially revealed by Lego this week. Weighing in at 1,060 pieces (a respectable $0.12 per piece), Darth Vader’s Castle is now available for preorder exclusively through Amazon and Lego stores. The importance of this castle is being expanded upon as we speak through comics, novels, and video games since the lair’s first appearance in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Happy May the Fourth!
It’s that time of year again! Gather your allies and brush up on your Mandalorian, it’s May 4th!

And thanks to a used book shop not far from home (Last Exit books in Kent, Ohio) I managed to pick up quite a few legends novels (as well as a new copy of Streets of Shadows from Barnes and Noble and Last Shot, which was on sale at Target) These will all make fine additions to my collection and backlog of Legends series I still need to read through, though Last Shot will probably come next seeing as Solo arrives next month.

Thanks for reading!

Solo Toys!
The Walmart near me had Solo toys a day before the soft release date! Emphasis on had. They were pretty wiped out already. But I did manage to find some toys I found pretty interesting…
End of an Empire
All good things must come to an end, it seems. After weeks of speculation, Toys R Us has announced liquidation and store closures, ending a career that’s spanned over 60 years. There’s plenty of questions about what exactly this all means, the stores not existing anymore aside. So for (most likely) the last time, let’s talk Toys R Us.
Target Find
My Target finally had these handsome heroes in stock. Shame they didn’t have a friend for my man in red but I do love clones as well!

(In)Definite Article #1: Collecting, Past, Present, and Future
Collecting is all about value. But what does it mean to value something? Is something inherently valuable because of what it is, or what it represents to the collector? Questionably an article and not canon at all, read on to see some recent reflections I had on my collection habit. Continue reading “(In)Definite Article #1: Collecting, Past, Present, and Future”
